Today was the first meeting of the component 3 team for SACS/SIP.  The meeting was held in the school library.  We discussed choosing two students and two parents to participate on the team.  Mr. Cox, our Chairman, will contact these people.  Its was decided we would meet on Thursday, January 19th, at 7:15 a.m. in the library for our next meeting.  This will give time to review the information given to the committee today.

COMPONENT 3 MEETING #2
January 19, 2006

Today was the second meeting of the Component 3 team for SACS/SIP.  The meeting was held in the school library.  We discussed locating the data necessary to complete the sections of this component.  Mr. Nichols, Mr. Chambers, and Mr. Cox will handle TCAP scores and TVASS scores.  Mr Kaliszak will handle Tennessee Writing Assessment Scores and Tennessee State Report Card for SMS.  Mr. Kaliszak will also get AYP – No Child Left Behind information and promotion rates.  Mrs. King will gather 6th grade exit exam scores.  Mr. Love will gather attendance records, custodial reports, ell data, PAC reports, and retention records.  Mrs. Grahl and Ms. Stovall will do the Climate Surveys.  Mrs. Everhart will handle special education census.  Mr. Cox will get Algebra I Gateway Scores and Pre-Algebra scores.  All findings are to be turned in to Mr. Cox by next Friday, January 27th.

COMPONENT 3 MEETING #3
February 2, 2006

Today was the third meeting of the Component 3 team for SACS/SIP.  The meeting was held in the SMS library and began at 7:15 a.m.  Each team member presented his/her findings from the part(s) he/she was responsible for.  The entire group discussed each part helping to add additional information.  After all the presentations were completed, it was agreed to that everyone would have the completed information to Mr. Cox within the week so as to be compiled into one uniform report.
