- While in the computer lab the 7th grade students will be working on keyboarding skills. It is important that students develop, master and utilize proper keyboarding techniques. The first 15 minutes of class time is dedicated to developing these skills.
- While in the computer lab the 7th grade students will learn to use:
- Powerpoint
- Word (advanced templates)
- Internet (for research)
- A digital camera
- Students will construct a Powerpoint Presentation using information gathered from books, magazines, and the web dealing with an area of technology
- Microsoft
Word
is the
word processing program that we use here at SMS. Students will continue
to learn how to format pages for typing research projects, spell check,
import graphics, add shapes, and numerous other operations.
- Students will be expected to use the Internet in their
regular
classrooms
as well as the computer lab to do advanced research
on projects and present their findings to their classmates.
- Students will learn how to use Microsoft Excel to create graphs and calculate data.
