The computer technology program was established at Sevierville
Middle School with the 1995-96 school year. The program
provides information and experience concerning potential careers
within the broad field of technology and computers. Practical
applications assist students when they are considering future
options for education and training.

The program is designed to give the student a high sense of
self-worth and self-confidence. Through individual instruction
and programs, the student can be successful with basic academic
skills, and can progress at his or her own rate of ability.

Technology education incorporates math, science, reading, social
studies, language arts and computer applications into the
curriculum. This course will help the students better prepare for
secondary training and will help them to choose other courses to
develop readiness skills.
