I was born and raised in Augusta, GA and am the oldest of three children. I graduated from Auburn University in August 2004...WAR EAGLE!!! During college I spent much of my time volunteering as a Young Life leader at Auburn High School. This is where my heart began to grow for students and I realized I wanted to teach. After finishing college I fulfilled a life-long dream and moved to NYC where I lived and worked as a nanny. I later realized how much I missed the South and decided to move to Knoxville. This is my fourth year teaching at SMS. Some of the things I love: traveling, running (just ran my second half-marathon), jetskiing, spending time with friends and family, live music, and college football!! Some things I hope to do one day...travel to Africa and learn to surf!
