Welcome to 7th
Grade! My name is Ginger Dixon, and I am origionally from the
small
town of Brinkley located in southeastern Kentucky. I moved to
Sevierville, TN six years ago with my sister, Lisa Bremer, who
is also a
teacher at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School in Gatlinburg. I have
been teaching at Sevierville Middle School for six years, and this is
my first year teaching 7th grade math and literature. I am
looking forward to teaching my favorite subject math. Along with
my love for teaching children I love sports. I am in my fourth
year helping Coach Condra with the Lady Bears volleyball team, and this
year is my first year being one of the coaches for the SMS cheerleaders.
Here's a
little
more about my family. My parents continue to live in
Kentucky. My mom lives in my hometown of Brinkley with her
husband John. My 90 year old grandfather, who goes fox hunting
every Thursday night, lives beside my mom. My dad lives in the
small town of Beattyville, and hopes to move to Sevierville very
soon. My grandmother, who knows everyone, lives in the tiny town
of Mousie. In 2004, I became a proud aunt to Makenzie
Grace. My niece has now changed my name from Ginger to
Gugu. I also have an eleven year old nephew named Caleb that I
inherited when my sister married my brother -n- law Ben. Caleb is
a sixth grader here at SMS.
In my spare
time
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also try to
stay involved in my church, First Baptist of Sevierville, where I coach
a girls Upward basketball team.
