About Mrs. Haynes
    Hello, my name is Catherine Haynes.  Most people know me as "Cathy".  I have other names as well:  Mark's wife, Hunter's mom, Geordie's mom, Samuel's mom, and of course, Mrs. Haynes.  I have 3 boys, Hunter (12), Geordie (8), and Samuel (6).  This is my 18th year teaching at Sevierville Middle School. I have a Master's Degree in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Harding University (a Christian University).  As of July 2004, I completed my third degree - Educational Specialist, obtained at Lincoln Memorial University.

    Many people ask me why I am a Middle School teacher.  My answer is always because I love the students! I think the team concept is wonderful.  The support system at Sevierville Middle is great!  That is another reason I love to work here. My goal is to make every student who comes into my classroom feel important.  I also love to motivate!  There are so many great accomplishments waiting to be made by these students!  I just need to convince them that they are the ones capable of succeeding!!
